LEAP Ahead With Better Health - Proof That It Works!

In my last post, I talked about the tool that transformed my health: the Mediator Release Test (MRT food sensitivity test), combined with the LEAP protocol (Lifestyle, Eating, and Performance), plus the skill set I acquired to become a Certified LEAP Therapist (CLT).  I went from feeling fatigued and foggy-headed with joint pain and IBS symptoms (fluctuating constipation and diarrhea) to feeling like a new person over the course of several weeks!  Because of my transformational success, I was very curious to find out how my current MRT results would compare to my first food sensitivity test 6 months prior.  So, I got retested and I was pleased with how my test results came back!  On October 6, 2015, I had 5 severe food sensitivities + 15 moderate food sensitivities + 7 moderate food chemical sensitivities (2 of them being on the cusp of severe).  On April 25, 2016, my results came back with 0 severe food sensitivities, 15 moderate food sensitivities (many of them being low-moderate), and only 2 moderate food chemical sensitivities (both low-moderate).  Below are side-by-side snapshot comparisons between my first and second tests.  You can also click HERE and HERE to view the full versions of both tests to see for yourself!

Although the improvements with my food sensitivity results are remarkable, I'm not that surprised because my digestive symptoms have progressed so much compared to where I was just 6 months ago.  You see, 70-80% of the body's immune cells are found within the gut tissue, so when the immune system has a chance to calm down, digestion improves as a result.  They go hand-in-hand.  As my gut mucosa (intestinal lining) healed, my nutrition absorption became better, and my immune system became more resilient so now it doesn't overreact as much to benign foods.  My immune system is able to handle a greater variety of foods and natural food chemicals (such as fructose and solanine) without triggering IBS symptoms.  LEAP truly is a program that heals the gut from the inside out!

Now that I have my new MRT results, I am going through the LEAP protocol again.  I believe experience is the best teacher, so having the opportunity to relive the process will help me as a dietitian and Certified LEAP Therapist to refine the LEAP programs I develop for my clients, so they can achieve the best results in the shortest period of time possible!  I started the ImmunoCalm Phase yesterday, which means I will eat my lowest reactive foods for the next 14 days.  During this time, I will experiment with different food combinations, using the 25 lowest reactive foods from my MRT results that I know work for my body.

Part of today's lunch: sautéed fresh cabbage with baked wild cod, turmeric, and avocado oil. It was simple, easy to make, delicious, provided a lot of nutrition, and supported my ImmunoCalm Phase plan!

Congrats! This is proof that you are making yourself well through dietary intervention. Great job, Crystal! It's such a wonderful thing to be able to control your symptoms rather than have symptoms control you and WITHOUT the use of drugs or surgery.. I wish you continued success.Enjoy the fruits of your labor.!
